چکیده

The random walk path method (RWP) is a stochastic model that transforms the solution of unsteady open channel flow equations into probability problem. In this paper, introduced to solve discretized Saint-Venant equations, with probabilistic representation water levels at junctions. Different boundary conditions, which specify either or discharge hydrographs, can be implemented by specifying how walkers react when arriving boundaries. pointwise river junctions obtained via simulations. efficacy was verified against following test cases: (1) real-world looped example documented in manual software Hec-Ras and (2) hypothetical system consisting dendritic divergent networks. number simulations an important aspect RWP needs chosen considering trade-off between precision computational efficiency. impact level on internal nodes quantitatively evaluated adopting terminal weights, present distinct advantage method. This assessment serve as guide operation hydraulic controls, such dams, sluices pumps, effectively regulate mitigating flood risks.

Path Collapse for an Inhomogeneous Random Walk

On an open interval we follow the paths of a Brownian motion which returns to a fixed point as soon as it reaches the boundary and restarts afresh indefinitely. We determine that two paths starting at different points either cannot collapse or they do so almost surely. The problem can be modelled as a spatially inhomogeneous random walk on a group and contrasts sharply with the higher dimension...

Unstructured mesh methods for the solution of the unsteady compressible flow equations with moving boundary components.

A review of a procedure for the simulation of time-dependent, inviscid and turbulent viscous, compressible flows involving geometries that change in time is presented. The adopted discretization technique employs unstructured meshes and both explicit and implicit time-stepping schemes. A dual time-stepping procedure and an ALE formulation enable flows involving moving boundary components to be ...

A General Property of Random Walk

Let P(x, ;y)=P(0, y — x) be the transition function of a random walk on the set of lattice points i ?= {x: x has integer valued coordinates} in d-dimensional Euclidean space, d^l. Thus 05^P(0, x), ^2XER P(0, x) — l and it is also assumed that the additive group generated by {x: P(0, x) > 0 } is R itself. Probabilities of events concerning the resulting Markov process (random walk) xn, n}zO, sta...

Random walk centrality for temporal networks

Nodes can be ranked according to their relative importance within the network. Ranking algorithms based on random walks are particularly useful because they connect topological and diffusive properties of the network. Previous methods based on random walks, as for example the PageRank, have focused on static structures. However, several realistic networks are indeed dynamic, meaning that their ...

Random walk on disordered networks

Random walks are studied on disordered cellular networks in 2-and 3dimensional spaces with arbitrary curvature. The coefficients of the evolution equation are calculated in term of the structural properties of the cellular system. The effects of disorder and space-curvature on the diffusion phenomena are investigated. In disordered systems the mean square displacement displays an enhancement at...
